In fact... all caps can become cap. microphones... in particular, DC
blocking caps in the audio path. They are sitting there with a
polarizing voltage across them, just waiting to get whomped through the
dielectric.
When I encounter this problem, I usually put a glop of RTV adhesive over
them. But ceramics are certainly the worst offenders. Yet another
reason to never design them into the audio path!!
