MS-20: R9 on KLM-307 ?

Sorry, another MS-20 question:

The schematics for the KLM-307 (later version MS-20) shows
a value of 47k for R9. (One of the emitter resistors of the 13600)

This seems to be very high; remember there are two 10k loads, plus
the reso pot to drive.
4.7k seems more reasonable.
But maybe 47k was chosen to give a different clipping character
(not very likely).
Does anybody know for sure ??
