Cheetah MS6 problem: Solution please!!

This is a puzzler! I'm trying to use a friends MS6 in my setup but it
keeps blowing internal fuses :( Last night we kinda tracked down the
problem by following the following steps...

1. Powered up the MS6 in total isolation: Didn't blow fuse
2. Placed MS6 in rack with other powered up gear - powered up MS6: didn't
blow fuse
3. As 2, but with MIDI leads connected: didn't blow fuse.
4. As 3, but with Audio output connected to mixer: BLEW FUSE!!! :(

So, I got out mu ohm-meter and discovered that, whilst most equipment that
has a mains-earth maintains the audio ground connection at mains-earth
potential, the MS6 does not. This presumably is causing a problem because
of the potential difference between the audio grounds in my setup.

My question is: Should the audio-ground be tied to the Mains-earth on the
MS6? If not, is there any way round this problem?

I'm Puzzled!

Any help would be gratefully recevied!!
