Irregular rack thickness???

There are various thickness stock around, the most common: .060, .090,
.125, .187. I used to design a lot of rack mount industrial stuff, some
19, some 24. We would use the thickness that made the most mechanical
sense (strength/stiffness vs weight). Personally, .090 is enough for a
19" panel typical of synthesis equipment. Smaller sub panels--I used
.060!

Now I'm going to have to look at ALL my gear.....
