HR-16 hack, etc.... (minimal analog content)

Hi all,

Sorry if this strays a bit far from topic, but....
I was wondering if any of you would know how to tap into the HR-16
digital drum machine.  I want to use it to trigger analog drum modules
and I figured that if I could find the pin or pins that address each sound,
I could use that to trigger external stuff.  I probed around while it was 
in play mode, playing a snare once per measure.  I didn't find anything
conclusive, but one pin made the snare sound distorted when I touched
it with the DMM probe.  
Does anyone have any suggestions?  Maybe the schematic :-) ?
