Class D, I think. At least that what was what we thought when a
colleague and I designed a 1.5KW one. It wasn't an audio amp but used
to deliver a 31.25KHz sine at 25Vrms to a series of little linear
psu's. A mini national grid of sorts. Never managed to get the thing
working on audio signals- no isolation between the output and the mains
input. Wouldn't get CE approval either!!!!
