Faceplates

This is sort of low-tech, but a method I've been using to make faceplates
is pretty simple: Start with a white panel, put those little "press-n-stick"
adhesive letters you get from an office supply store down on it in the desired
locations, spray the whole thing black, carefully remove the letters, and coat
the entire thing in a spray varnish. It looks really nice, although the
letters
are a little thick. You can naturally do this in reverse (start dark, spray
light), and the quality of the lettering depends on the size letters you get.

But all in all, I've done two panels this way, and I'm very happy and un-acid
burned. :-) (I used to use a silver paint pen on black, but my handwriting is
so pathetic that it always looks a little wonky.)
