Faceplates

Called MacTac in the US

Problems I have had: The surface is soft and can get easily scratched
and dinged - the scratches hold dirt so it can look pretty rough after a
year of use.

It is really hard to get a full sheet fixed to a panel without trapping
several air bubbles - these can be removed with a small cut from a sharp
knife ( Xacto ) but you have the scratch-holding-dirt problem again.

If you use small pieces for just the labels, there is enough adhesive
present on the cut edges that each label will get a small dark frame in
a few months.

Outside of these problems, it works great!
