This is strange, and hard to believe.
Personally, I *have* seen complete schematics of the PS-3100.
(I don't own them - I only copied the two pages of the 3100's
Resonator for myself).
I have also seen Trident schematics (though not sure about Mk II).
And I have personally ordered schematics for two another Korg
machines from the same period, from Korg's German distributor.
The phone call went like this: 

"I'd like to get a service manual for the old xxxx."
"Oh, they didn't write service manuals back then, sorry." (sounds
familiar?)
"Ok, but I would be very pleased just to get some raw schematics
drawings!"
"Now that's no problem, if you are willing to pay copy expenses."

Of course I was ! A few days later I got them in the mail. 20
Deutschmarks,
maybe 30, don't remember - very good service !
