Review: Kenton MIDI kit for Korg PS-3100

   Your worst fears are true, this is indeed the case with the PS-3100.  
The reason for this quirk is because their digital board only sends out 
gate signals.  So with the PS-3100, there are 48 gates (one for each 
key).  And that means that the MIDI kit is only "playing" the existing 
keys on the synth.  This is actually the case with some of their other 
MIDI kits (like the Trident kit which I'm going to tackle next).
