I'm not convinced that they cost much more!
I buy 1%'s from Mousher Electronics for $.09 each, and $.02 if you buy
common values (1K, 10K, 100K, etc) in lots of 200.
I use them for all building, including replacing the ones supplied in kits
such as the PAiA MIDI2CV8 that I bought.
