Hi Peoiple,
This is about a million miles off topic I know, but thise early users
of home-made synths, KRAFTWERK have just played a gig in the UK, and I
was there and it was magic. They turned up with the whole of
Kling-Klang Studio, everything from the modified drum machines to the
Speak-and-Spell toys to teh prototype Waves....the lot....you could
barely breathe in the marquee they played in ( at a multi-marquee
dance music festival), and it went down a storm...Computerworld, Man
Machine, Pocket Calculator, Trans-Europe Express, Tour-de-France,
Autobahn, they played everything except The Model, which is the least
typical KW track anyway. If they've decided to come out of their shell
and get out and about again, if you have to mortgage your granny to
get one, get a ticket to see them....they've updated the sound a bit,
the drums most notably, but it's subtle......
Oh and Orbital played too and were great, as was Hardfloor and the
Fairey Brass band doing their Acid Brass set (acid house/techno tracks
played by a brass band is quite a wierd aural experience and
thouroughly recommended)
Oh...and lots of DJ's too...
