Getting DIY archives problems

Has anyone ever had any problems getting synth-diy archives with email
requests?

I've had problems getting selected archives.  Some are obediently sent to
me in a large mail message following a short message saying I'll receive
the archive in another message.  Some archives just never show up even
though I always get the first short message.  It seems to be file
sensitive (no matter how many times I request certain files, they are NEVER
sent - others always on the first request).  I've tried 2 different email
destinations (Compuserve and at work) so I think the problem is on the
sending end.  Has anybody experienced the same problems?
