Well guys ..... sorry for the supreme delays in me having said anything online
to anyone, over the past few weeks, but I spent 3 days late last week, making a
final decision.
Just as the Subject says (though now, in more words):
- Aural Research Facilities, the band, no longer exists
- Aural Research Facilities, the modular synthesizer building 'business' is no
longer in action.
Why?
Basically, for these 5 reasons:
- I'd had some fairly strange headaches and backaches for about a 3 week
period. When I finally went to the doctor, I found out that I'm suffering from
High Blood Pressure. These headaches have almost completely disappeared over
the last 10 days, that I'd stopped (90 percentedly) using Salt. (I'd been a
Salt-o-holic for the last 20 years!)
- I have had very long breaks in building time, due basically, to my tending to
be lazy at times.
- In order to have a REAL business, that would build modular synthesizers
professionally, I've found that it would cost me a LOT of money, to get
started. Due to my lazyness in working on my own though, I suspect a VERY
strong chance of this action/business, failing. And I'm NOT going to loose
THAT much money!
- Building synthesizers for other people, takes up so much of my time (when I'm
actually building) that I have almost NO time to do the following:
- Build synth modules for myself
- Use my synth that I've built myself, to make my own music! (Music being one
of the MOST important things to me, in my life.)
For all of the customers that currently have orders happening, I'll be mailing
you individually to cover the rest of the details. Basically though, all
complete synth orders that haven't been shipped yet, will be shipped as soon as
my mum's estate is transferred to me (house ownership and money) next week.
Those that have orders remaining to be filled, will be offered full financial
refunds + bonuses.
Finally chaps ..... I'm really sorry to have come to this decision. But it's
for the most important (to me) reason: The fact that I'll have enough time
again, to build for myself, and to make my own music.
I'm hoping that 'shit will hit the fan' doesn't start happening, but, I'm
expecting it.
Take care all,
Ric
