     Hi DIY,

I just picked up my next batch of 50 ASM-1 circuit boards yesterday,
     and they're available for orders.

The bare circuit boards can be purchased for $60 US apiece, or $50
apiece for 4 or more in the same order. Documentation includes
schematics, parts placement diagram, parts list, circuit
     descriptions, and adjustment procedures.

Accepted methods of payment include US or Canadian personal check,
American Express traveller's cheques, or (you guessed it), cash in US
dollars cleverly shielded in opaque paper.

For the next 2 weeks my mailing address is still:

     ADC/Fibermux
     Attention: Gene Stopp
     21415 Plummer Street
     Chatsworth, California
     91311
     USA

Yes I said for the next 2 weeks - I'll keep the list posted but
ADC/Fibermux is going away. Our Portland mother company (ADC Kentrox)
has decided to shut down the California plant for business reasons.
We've known about this since November, but it's getting down to the
wire now. What this means is that my email address will be changing
soon, as well as my ship-to address for ASM-1 orders. The address will
probably become either a temporary PO box, or some similar thing. The
email address will most likely split in two as my wife and I finally
buckle under and lease an ISDN line to our house, and then we get new
work email. Unfortunately for us we will probably be have to sit by the
pool and do gardening and other stress-inducing things for a month or
two before we start at our new jobs. We do have some offers, and since
my wife has become quite the HTML and Java-head recently (on top of her
LAN driver/SNMP experience) we aren't too worried about the bills just
     yet.

On the technical side, the good news is that the lab stuff I've been
using all these months (geeez years now?) will probably make it into
my garage. The parts bins, the resistors, the chips, the bench power
supplies, even (gasp!) the scope are all up for grabs and nobody here
disputes my dibs on it. Cool huh. So, ongoing little projects should
make their way into DIY list posts just like before....
