If you can somehow figure out what commercial products the chips were 
used in, you might spend some time in goodwill stores or garage sales 
or anwhere you might find old electronic toys/arcade games/whatever 
else used the chips.  Though this is probably a real longshot.

It might just be easier to not use the chip and build you own 
circuits from other plans and assemble them into a Snare+. (Not that 
it would be easy). :)
