Old Roland Drum Machine

        Hello,

This is my first post to this list and I have enjoyed what I have
read so far, the archive is very interesting. I am interested in
analogue electronics, but am no purist, I have FM keyboards that make
     wonderful sounds :)

Anyway, I hope my first message is too much of a daft one but there
you go. I have a Roland 606 drum machine that I use to generate
allsorts of noise. Put through a small amount of overdrive, a nice
analogue delay (the worse, the better as it were) or a digital pitch
shifter and it makes a nice rhythmic backdrop.

I couldn't find this info in the archive but what I need to know is
the pin outs on the roland sync socket. From the circuit board I get
the feeling that there is some kind of beat advance signal (I need to
sync this to a PC based software synth). Could someone furnish me with
the details please. Also are the schematics for the 606 on the net
     anywhere???

One more question, In the archive someone had been studying the
kick circuitry of both the 808 and 606 with a view to boosting the 606
kick a little, anyone else know anymore about this??? I would be most
interested. I am sure the kick on the 606 is not as loud as it used to
be, abuse and overuse perhaps ;)

        Thanks,

                Matthew.
