NPN Transistor array for ASM-1

Hi All,

I have been seeking out a possible NPN transistor set for Genes ASM-1. On the
ASM-1 home page the 2N3904 is touted as being a good one to use. It just so
happens that in the UK Maplin catalogue there is a 14 pin DIL device with 4
matched 2N3904's in it! cost : 2.79 inc VAT. I think a bit jiggling and
bodging will be required to get it on the board. I'll have to wait untill Gene
gets the next set of PCB's done tho, as I don't have one yet! Anyone out there
tried this?
