Wow, this is the best news I heard for months!
Maybe the diode pins could be used to replace the diodes with 2k7 
resistors ...
Is this matrix compatible to the EMS matrices ?
(I am asking tis because someone has given me a 32 x 32 matrix some 
time,
for free (;->), but it has 2.5mm holes instead of 2mm ( :-(  ) . )
Glad that I haven't bought one of these expensive second hand AKS's 
yet ...
