VCO Scaling

   Hi All -

I have an idea that I would like to try out, but I don't know how to

go about it, so here goes...

I have a synth that uses CEM 3394's in it, (an AX-73, for all you Akai

fans out there!) and to be quite frank, the filters sound like CRAP! They

are actually starting to get ON MY NERVES! SOoooo, I propose to build a

replacement "card" to replace the CEM 3394. Yes, a plug in card with VCO, VCA

and VCF (not necissarily in that order) to replace the weird (and, from what

I've heard, flakey) 3394. the only problem I see is the VCO is scaled to

.75 volt/octave instead of the usual 1v/oct. (got this from the 3394 data

sheet.) Any ideas on this? Any suggestions for VCO's / VCF's? (remember, I have

to duplicate this 6x ... think small, inexpensive.... :^) ) Is there any way

to scale a VCO to use this .75v "standard"?

                  Any help greatly appreciated!

                                    - Duane
