Is there a certain and repeatable transconductance figure over the usable
range of control current from sample to sample for the CA3080 OTA? I can't
really tell from the data sheet. I'm considering an application where 2
OTA outputs need to be the same (like better than 5%) over the range of
control current. I'm not sure what the range of the control current will
be but I can use a range that will optimize the match.
I guess what I'm asking is: Is the 3080 OTA transconductance repeatable and
the same across all samples?
No, but the data sheets for the CA3280 and the LM13600/13700 dual OTAs
claim that the matching between the OTAs on those chips is "excellent"
without specifying an actual number.
In general, if the circuits are on the same chip it's going to be
difficult to not have them match.
