Has anybody experimented with other values for the 680 ohm "Franco" compensation resistor in the ASM-1 vco ?
In the original Electronotes oscillator this is 680 ohms but compensates for the bulk resistance of the transistor pair in the exponential converter. The text talks about this being around 10 ohms.
Now hasn't the MAT02 got a lot lower bulk resistance ; something like 0.3 ohms ?
Does this mean that the 680 resistor is the wrong value?
I haven't heard anything wrong with the hi freq tracking though : )
