Not with OTA's, but with CEM3330's when they were still available.
The principle remains the same.
The aemit synth has a combined VC panner/crossfader module.
It is basically two VCA's, one is controlled from the input CV and the initial
setting pot, the other has these control signals inverted.
In pan mode, a switch makes a short between VCA 1 signal input and VCA 2 signal
input, so that they both have the same input. Then use both VCA's outputs for
a stereo panned signal.
In crossfade mode, both VCA's inputs are independent. Each input has its own
signal fed in. Both outputs are mixed together, so on the mix out, you have a
crossfade between both inputs. The nice thing is that both independent outputs
are also available in this mode.
