pitch question

No: you need 12 bits +-1/2 LSB for pitch. However, with all the Maxim and Linear Tech parts out there, this is no longer hard or expensive.

does anyone know if an 8bit ADC/DAC is enough for digitizing a pot
(e.g. pitch CV) on a modular ?
