roland system 100m LFO problem

I dragged my old system 100m out from under the house on the weekend, gave
it a cleanup, and fired it up. Apart from a few noisy pots all appears to
still work fine with the exception of the LFO in the Env/LFO module. With a
square wave selected and the output at 1/10, I get a square wave, but
setting the output to x1, I get a ramp for the "on" part of the cycle. The
"off" part still remains flat (OV).  Anyone have this problem before?
