Regarding the ASM-1 waveshapers....

If you are using the CA3080 as a sine wave shaper, you can run a 33K or 47K
resistor in parallel with the 220K resisitor to the CA3080 control pin.
Then connect the other end of the resistor to a panel jack. Run the
sawtooth output of your OTHER VCO into this jack for wacky AM effects or
simply run the sawtooth output of the SAME VCO back into this input for a
distored sine wave shape...
