You mean Roland no longer has BA662's?  If so, this means big trouble for 
almost all Roland analogues - that was their main OTA chip for a long time.

Your 303 clone won't sound very authentic without it - the distortion 
products are an integral part of the 303 sound.  I have a friend who did 
the same thing you're doing - he tried using a 3080-based VCA, and never 
could get the distortion right.
