Is the gate light on ? If it is and there is nothing connected
to the midi in, it would seem to be a midi problem. Check out
the digital section.
If the gate light is off it may just be a problem with setting.
There are two controls setting control voltages
to the VCA, velocity and envelope (I think that's what it is called).
Turn velocity to zero (fully counter clockwise) and turn the
envelope level towards zero. At some point the output should stop.
If you can't stop the output, check the components in the VCA
and the envlope generator.
Assuming the synth has gone quiet. Hook up a midi input, send
some notes, verfiy the gate light is flashing, you should hear
something.
Have you looked through the manuals fault finding section ? Its
worth doing.
