Gene -

Just thought you might find this interesting....

I was working on music at a friend's studio and a local DJ / Artist / Dance
Music Record Label Owner stopped by and saw the ASM-1. This guy's a real
gear-hound wheeler-dealer sho-biz kinda guy - and into any thing "rare". So
he starts asking about it - "where'd you get it? You MADE this? Does it
take long?" etc, etc....

Finally he says, after playing with it a little bit, "I gotta have one of
these - how much would you charge to build me one?".

I really didn't feel like doing it, and had offered to get the guy all the
parts so he could build it himself - but he wasn't into that and had never
done any soldering. Finally I said "$700", sure that he'd reply with a
discontented grumble and that would be the end of it. - Instead, he said
"sold."

I figure it takes me about 6-8 hours to build one and $300 for the parts -
that comes out to about $50 an hour for my time - not bad money :).

- Chris

ps. Thanks for all the Para-EQ tips!
