Well, folks, I have finally pronounced a friend's ESQ-1 dead. The
problem is in the main board somewhere, but all the salvageable chips are
fine. So Now I have some stuff for sale.
1) ESQ-1 Sequencer Expander Cartridge- double your sequencer
memory, or more, or less. I can't remember. Nice little thing though,
just plug it in from the back panel. Looks like a dog chewed the edges
of the case some, but it works fine. Maybe it's just me but I've owned 3
ESQ-1's and friends have owned 2, and I have seen about 5 more, and had 3
checked out for me, and none of those 13 except this one had the
Expander. So is it rare? I dunno. $35 takes it away. Jump on this, if you
use your ESQ-1 as a sequencer.
2) ESQ-1 keyboard assembly. I've felt 2 differeny keyboards in
ESQ-1's. There's the cheap-feeling one, and the one that feels liquid.
Smooth like butta, silent. Gorgeous feel. This one is of that ilk. Can't
tell the manufacturer ((A/E?)-TAR?) I dunno. It ends in a 16-pin (I
think) ribbon-cable type output. 61 keys. Top shape, far as I can tell.
*really* nice feel. $35 also.
3) 4x SSM2030 chips. Dunno what they are. I'm silly, and figure
tha since they're SSM, they *might* be out of production and in demand.
If so, make me an offer. If not, someone please tell me what they are! :)
$BO
4) 1x CEM3360. VCA? The only thing I can think of, as there's
only one, it's next to the voices, and an ESQ-1 would only have one final
VCA. But I'm probably wrong. Same deal as above. $BO.
5) Duane, I'll be mailing you about these in a sec. For now,
there are 8x CEM3379 chips. VCF/VCA/VC Panner (if i remember right)
chips. On-Chip has 'em for $15 each, I'm making one last attempt to get
$75 for the lot. ($9.xx each.)
6) ESQ-1 Software Upgrade v3.50. New from Ensoniq, never used.
Installed just because we got it, after the thing died. I believe it's a
$50 or so pair of chips from Ensoniq. $20 gets it from us. Anyone with a
pre-v3.50 ESQ-1 needs this. (That's why we got it, C? :) )
7) Random Bits. Anyone need a new flourescent display? Ours works
fine. Only prints heiroglyphics, but that's not its fault. It's fine. Any
socketed chips needed by anyone? Brand new, never used Data-Entry Slider?
And slider-caps? Buttons? Case? Transformer? Jacks? Any spare parts you
need for the ESQ-1, I got 'em dirt cheap. Beware of socketed chips, they
may be the culprit in our disaster. Hardware is all in dandy shape. Email
me if you need ANY ESQ-1 parts.
All prices except heavy things (keyboard assembly, larger spare
parts) include shipping. I'll have to get prepayment unless I've done
business with you before, as these parts are not mine. I have a hella rep
on AH if you need references. Thanks, hope someone finds taht bit they
need. :)
