Has anyone built a Penfold?

Hi all!

I'm just finishing off my current project (a restoration of an old Mellotron
MK V), and have been accumulating schematics and info for my first tentative
attempt at synth building.

I'm interested in the Penfold design for a number of reasons.  Mostly the
cost, ease of construction for a beginner, and availability of parts.  

I've talked to a few extremely helpful synth diy'ers over the last few
weeks, and thought I'd send my questions out to the group.

I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone who has built a Penfold. 

Ideally, this project should ease me into building more complex modules as
my experience and confidence level increases.  So the issue of compatibility
with other systems (ASM 1, Digisound, Modulus) is an important consideration.
