Heat-shrink question

I know this is a little off-topic but I have the following problem.

I recently bought a power supply in a sale (about 4UKP!) with 15v, 5v and 0v
outputs and an upgrade kit to install a -15v output. Just what I need!

The instructions for the upgrade include rewinding a small coil, applying a
sheath over the top and heat shrinking it on. My question is how to apply
the heat and what kind of temperatures would be needed? The coil is quite
small, only about the width of a pencil.

Thanks in advance to anyone with any advice,
