Tom Power Supply Question.

Hi there DIYers,
I have a question regarding the power supply for a Sequential Tom drum
machine I recently aquired without a power supply.

I have what I think is an appropriate supply ; 16 V AC 1100 ma ,(the
original calls for 15.83 V AC
1 amp) , but I am not sure if I have it hooked up correctly.

This is the only info I could find on the net.
"The plug is sort of a 5 pin DIN, but not a MIDI cable.
Looking at the plug pins, put the shield notch at the bottom
and number the pins clockwise 1 to 5.

The plug shield is NOT connected to any pin.
There is continuity between pins 1, 3 and 5,
probably those are the ones hooked to the
transformer. Measuring pins against a
ground on the plug shield ...

Pin 1, 4.0 VAC (RMS)
Pin 3, 6.3 VAC (RMS)
Pin 5, 8.6 VAC (RMS) "

I have hooked up power to pins one and five of the power jack, but there
is no response from the machine
other than a slight hum thru headphones at full volume. Based on the
above info, have I hooked up the power
correctly?
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
	Nev.
