Yes! Being a analog or digital purist is stupid. The really interesting
things happen when you use both!

I'm in the planning stages for my own modular, and one of the things I'm
definitly going to build are digital modules with DACs and ADCs so they
can interface to the rest of the synth. (To start off, I have a pitch
shifter chip and a cheap reverb chip that I'm going to use).

The ultimate module would be a DSP chip with 6-8 analogue inputs and
analog output that you could program to do almost everything!
