This mail addreses all of the mails of the Nord Modular issue and its
OFF topic

In my opinion i think 4000ukp are to high compared to the cost of KYMA.
I belive a price around 2000 to 2600ukp are more right, but it would be
a surprise if they released the machine lower then 2000ukp.

I belive that all this simulating thing are gona kost us alot of money.
And I'm not interested anymore to waste money onto sound systems that
ends up with upgradings that kosts me even more money!
The most expensive i even bought were the K2000R + sampling option
and belive me, here this machine where expensive when it was released.
In my dreams of the K2000 (before i bought it) i belived how nice to be
able to
do all those old analogue saw/square sounds stuff, and how disappointed
i
become! Those counter algorithm generated OSC's sounds crap from
4khz and above, and how slow and non log the envelopes performed!
Now not every thing where bad, the filter are great and sampling but
for that amount of money i would not buy it today, sorry k2000
freeaks,:-)
(I still have my K2000R)

But realy, have the actually music scene become better,no..not in my
opinion,
more worse i belive.
Since we all have been around this tremendous progress in electronic
music machines
and the manufactures saying: this is a much much better machine then
last week,
have the music become better because we have better music instruments
,,,noo!

And presets!! How stupid, I hate synths that have presets.

And what is real time realy! Is'nt a analogue system more real real time
as
fast as a electron can move in a conducting device?

Interesting some one said that not even the KYMA system are a thrue real
time
machine!

About CLAVIA and Nord lead, i have met the founder and the DSP
programmer
behind Clavia and their Nordlead and the Rebirth 338 (by propeller
heads)
about 1 years ago and they told me that they delivered about 200 Nord
lead a month.
This is a real big boom for them since they are a wery small company,
Nordlead have become their gold mine.

And about 200 is the value of delivered Doepfer A-100 sytems world wide,
compare this value to the delivered NordModular and it would be
interesting
to se what people chose, analog modular or digital simulating analog
modulars?

I belive that Novation Basstation have sold more then the NordLead.

Now I'm not against DSP and its emulating bussnes but i would like to
see some
low cost, easy DSP applications in the near future.

BJ in smorgas..............
