Xpander cloning

It sems everybody loves the old Obie Xpanders (except the slow envelopes, maybe). Perhaps it's time
for a new "clone" version:

1) Get rid of the VF display => use backlight LCD
2) Use faster uP or just throw 3310's at it

If somebody out there has a set of schematics, please contact me. I bet I could make a rack-mount version
for sale at ~ $700.
