discharge tranny & leakage

I'm looking for a good available discharge tranny,
be it bipolar or jfet with low on resistance
and very low leakage in off-mode, even at higher
temperatures (~50C). What do you use ?
Right from your head? 

Has someone tryed a scr? This should be no good solution,
(though fast)
since the current feedback will amplify leakage currents
with high small signal beta, so quite leaky.
Or am I wrong?

Any experience out there ?
