A very bad thing has happened....

SO I was playing with my modular just now, and I knew I was pushing my
power supply to the limit - it had been getting very hot, and the prior
night it had locked up - but came back to normal simply by switching
everything off for a minute then turning it back on. Well tonight it did it
again, but it didn't come back.

I was playing, sound's coming out, I went and turned the filter frequency
knob - suddenly nothing. A quick check with the scope shows a flat output
at about 3 volts. Turn it off and turn it on, nothing. Mind you we're
talking 2 ASM-1's, a row of handmade modules (filter, mixer, VC-LFO, AD +
AR generator, etc), and another small panel with my frequency shifter and
analog delay. I got that hot sweaty kinda feeling that tells me something
bad has just happened that's going to cost me a lot of time or money or
both. I disconnect everything and check my power supply output, it's +15v
and +1v (should be + / - 15). Ug. This is my small, .8amp supply, I use it
because it's the only thing that fits into my super compact roadcase
modular. So I go and get my big 3amp, International Power supply and hook
it up to just one of the ASM-1s - all by itself. It still doesn't work, but
worse yet, now this power supply is screwed up too - in the exact same way!
+15v and +1v. Realizing I should have done this first, I check the ASM-1
for shorts. I did this by checking the resistance between the various power
supply connectors at the edge of the board, and all of them were well over
2K.

I don't get it, if there's a 2K load there - what screwed up my power
supply?

Anybody have any ideas? Anyone know if the power supply just needs to be
reset somehow (I'm going to call them tomorrow morning, but I need the
synth this weekend, so I've gotta decide ASAP if I should have a new supply
fedexed).
What are the chances that I just fried all the 70 or so bi-polar op-amps in
the synth???? How can I figure out whether another power supply will be
fried if I plug it into the module - if not by measuring the resistance
across the power supply inputs? Yes, I checked +v to G, -v to G, and +v to
-v.....

- Any help would be greatly appreciated....
