If someone can build the mechanics (including patchmatrix and
joystick, all the internal woodwork for mounting pcbs and
loudspeakers, and so on), I would gladly build the electronics.
Cloning a Synthi A (I guess that's what you mean, as you speak of
a suitcase) looks very tempting at first, as the electronics should
not cost much more than 100 Dollars or so.
But try to build the whole thing, and you don't think EMS prices are
that high, anymore!
BTW, what are the exact prices for a new or a refurbished synthi A
at the moment? I mean, in the rest of the world - Germany is a case
on its own here ...
