AKS,Synth3, rebuild..

All,

 JC wrote about building a synth-3 from scratch....
Well a friend of a friend has built a moog modular from scratch
useing equivilent parts and original PCBs the whole 9 yards,
but its taken him years.
 Im sure it would be possible to build a VCS3 from scratch but
do you have the time and money?
 I dont think it would fit in the same sized suitcase either..
