Hi I'm new here, therefore Hi again ...

as you might have guessed I'm another one of those crazy guitar players
who's coming out of the closet to admit an unrequitable love for that
little suitcase thing, the Synthi VCS3 !!

it IS the only synth to really blow me away, (OK a mini is pretty trippy
too ... geezz, *&^ flying tomatos &6..^^ banana peels ... shit* ... plonk^
...)

yeah, the VCS3 has blown my mind.  That sometime was in 1987 at the
electronic music lab at McGill ... I recall fellow geekoids wanting to play
that hot new DX7 while out of reach lay this keyboardless (!!) treasure ...
what nerve !!!

anyway, I won't wanna bore too many people with more trivialitations,
except I gotta ask the question:

                       can a VCS3 be built from scratch ?!

I'll be happy using pseudo substitutes on parts; even if it sounds remotely
like a VCS3 I'd be thrilled (I kinda subscribed to this group so I could
ask this mouth-watering question) i.e., is there any way to get the old or
improved version in kit form ?! yes, that would be a great thing IMAO  :)~~
