ASM-1: Mat02 or LM394?

Hello ASM-1 Builders
In the Modulus Edition 2 I read:

Now I have already bought two Mat02 (no problem in Germany, about 9$ a
piece, is that too much?)
The LM394 is not mentioned in the assembly instructions Gene sent me with
the board. There he wrote the Mat02 is the best part.
May be these instructions are newer than the Modulus Article?
Shall I use the Mat02, or by the LM394 (5$ a piece)instead?
