Wall of Knobs!!!

Just thought I'd share/gloat a little, since traffic is light
at the moment.

Yesterday, my wife and I were rummaging around through the
local Altex Electronics, and she calls me over saying,
"I know you're gonna hate this, but I want it!"  Naturally
curious (the electronics habit is mine, not hers), I followed.
So, she shows me this mammoth (7 ft) rack enclosure which looks
like a miliput-green filing cabinet with a 19" rack instead of
drawers.  "For Wally!" she says.  (Note: Wally is my modular
synth's nickname.  "Wall of Knobs".  If you've seen my web page,
he's grown substantially - I'll have a new version up later this
week, with pics of the new case as well.)  Man, do I love her. :-)

The dang thing has something like 48 spaces.  It's HUGE!  Since it
was surplus, I got it cheap, spray painted it black, and now it's
towering over everything else in my appartment!  Let's see some
thief *try* to take that behemoth.   Then again, maybe I shouldn't
tempt providence.... :-)  Looks like I'll have enough space to
plan some of those really BIG modules I've been thinking about -
like some sequencers.
