Midi Specs for THEREMIN

Hello to all,

I am a complete newbie to this forum and this is the first message I
have posted. 

I'll start off by saying that my electronics skills are non-existent.

A friend of mine and I are interested in building a couple of custom
modules. My friend will end up doing all the DIY stuff according to the
schematics and features that I supply. He has no knowledge of MIDI and I
have no schematics for fitting these modules with some of the basic MIDI
controllers.

Imagine this: A theremin that can be used as a MIDI controller. What I
am asking for from some kind and benevolent soul in this newsgroup is
the schematics for incorporating MIDI in what is basically a CV unit. If
at all possible I would also like anyones' personal opinions about doing
this (ie. can it be done?).
