707/808 Syncing problems.

Hey yall.. =) 

I friend of mine has a 707 and a 808 but he has a problem.

He wants to sync the 707 with his computer trough MIDI and then sync the
808 to the 707. But according to the 707 manual that is not possible. 

So i want to know really badly if anyone has done some sort of Mod to
the 707 so that it can receive MIDI-sync and send DIN-sync both at the
same time.
