This isn't such a great idea - you'll be prone to stray capacitance and a
few other electrical nasties by having your summing node spread out over a
large physical area. Rule of thumb is to keep summing nodes as small as
possible and as close to the input device as possible. 

On the other hand, you may get lucky and everything works just fine - my 02.
