	I guess it depends on how much electronic construction you have
	done. The kit goes together well but there are a lot of wires
	between the circuit board and the front panel. The manual gives
	good instruction on putting the thing together as well as basic
	construction tips. The one place I think it lacks is again with
	the front panel wiring. I recommend you label each wire at both 
	ends. I managed to swap 2 leads over and it was easy to spot the
	mistake once I realised there was a problem. It would probably
	be a good idea to build something less complex, but if you feel
	up to building the fatman go for it.

	The manual is pretty good on the basics of synthesis and what
	the various parts of the circuit do. Once you get it going 
	of course then its time to start adding mods, there's a few
	on paia's site and some more I think on the music machines
	site
