WG: Envelope followers for vocoder.

Could you explain the differences?  You got me wondering now :)  I thought
they were just band pass filters.  The only thing I can think of that would
differ, would be that each matching pair of bands on a vocoder would be
tuned to eachother more closely.

Oh, I'm not discouraged, either...Like you say, it should produce some nice
effects, even if not what I'm aiming for.
