Well, I didn't really mean "hard to find" - sorry. I just mean 
"attainable." LM13700s are easy for me to get, and fairly cheap to 
purchase (and mail order here is my ONLY option, as there AREN'T any 
local shops). I guess 3080s are cheap too, but 13700s have two devices 
on a chip, and that's important to me, as my intent is to have this 
module consist of little more than three or four chips and a few 
"discretes."

Since everything is to be either voltage controlled or just driven 
directly from the controlling micro (I'm still waffling on this) 
integration is value. With one LM13700 I have an output VCA and VC of 
VCF Q. Of course, if I just stick a quad 8bit DAC on the board I still 
have full control via the micro - but no direct voltage control of the 
VCA or Q.
