Alex, I am having problems with message headers without body text as
well.
But in addition, I can't even get the following to post. Would you be so
kind as to try sending it for me, as yours was one of the few messages
to
come across properly.

Thanx, J.J.Fox

I hope someone out there can help me resolve a problem I'm having with
my SCI Pro-One (rev1.2) It seems that the gate is stuck "ON", when I
power up the synth, the gate led immediately lights. When I trigger an
event, the led will get brighter, but will not go out completely when I
release the key. Changing the release and sustain settings have no
effect on stopping the sound at the audio out. This unit was working
fine when I put it in my closet 4 years ago. Could this be a bad
electrolytic cap? I eliminated the keyboard as the problem source by
first cleaning and inspecting the action, then removing the ribbon cable
at the circuit board. I would be able to do the physical repair myself,
but the trouble shooting on this one is best left to people who have a
better understanding of this type of thing. After browsing some of the
posts in this forum, I would have to say that I was fortunate to stumble
on this link. (now if I could just get it to work!!!)

Thanx in advance for any help...

P.S. please Cc: me on any reply as the "synth-diy" mailer seems to be
flaky... (I've tried several times to post this, without success)
